Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have stormed the polling unit of Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, during the ongoing governorship election over alleged vote buying
The anti-graft agency’s officials arrived at Polling Unit 003, Ward 06, Ikogosi, in Ekiti West Local Government Area, around 9:08 a.m. on Saturday. About 10 operatives were seen at the location as voting activities continued.

Although the reason for their presence was not officially disclosed, it was gathered that the deployment may be linked to efforts to monitor and prevent possible vote buying during the election.
The operatives were observed keeping watch as voters participated in the exercise, which had commenced earlier at about 8:30 a.m. across several polling units in the state.
Governor Biodun Oyebanji, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), is seeking re-election in the ongoing poll.
