Ellie Goulding has shared that her upcoming album will be deeply personal, reflecting on her life following her separation from husband Caspar Jopling.
The 37-year-old singer and the art dealer ended their marriage in February and are now co-parenting their four-year-old son, Arthur.

While her previous album, ‘Higher Than Heaven’, released two years ago, focused on upbeat pop tracks, Goulding has hinted that her next project, set for release in 2025, will delve into her recent experiences.
“”Higher Than Heaven’ was actually intentionally impersonal,” she told ‘The Sun‘.
“It was post-baby, post-pandemic. I just wanted to write some solid pop songs that you can dance to.”

She added, “This time, it’s a little different. I’ve been writing about what’s been going on in my life. I’ve had more time to get in the studio and spend the time and sit. Songs don’t come that easily to me, especially when they’re from more of a personal place.”
