Elon Musk reveals he might need SURGERY before taking on his cage fight with Mark Zuckerberg

Elon Musk has revealed he might require surgery on his neck and upper back before his heavyweight cage fight showdown with Mark Zuckerberg.

The proposed date of a potential clash between the two social media titans has been a matter of dispute, with August 26 listed as a possible option for both parties.

However, Tesla toughman Musk, 52, has said that he is to undergo an MRI scan on an injury, which could end the possibility of a fight before the end of the month.

Musk took to X – fka Twitter – to say: ‘Exact date is still in flux. I’m getting an MRI of my neck & upper back tomorrow [Monday]. May require surgery before the fight can happen. Will know this week.’

Meta co-founder Zuckerberg, 39, previously insisted he was ready to fight Musk imminently, but suggested that the August 26 date flying about was unlikely to materialise.

UFC president Dana White claimed that a clash between Musk and Zuckerberg would break pay-per-view records and be the ‘the biggest fight of all time’.

Musk declared: ‘Zuck v Musk fight will be live-streamed on X. All proceeds will go to charity for veterans.’
