Jude Bellingham emerged as England’s hero with a brace, including the match-winning goal in extra time, as the Three Lions defeated Norway 2-1 to reach the FIFA World Cup semi-finals
Norway stunned England by taking the lead in the 36th minute when Andreas Schjelderup finished brilliantly after Patrick Berg dispossessed Harry Kane and sparked a quick counterattack.

England responded just before half-time, with Bellingham making a driving run into the penalty area before calmly finishing to restore parity.
With the score still 1-1 after regulation time, the game went into extra time. England found the breakthrough in the 93rd minute when Morgan Rogers’ long-range effort was spilled by goalkeeper Orjan Nyland, allowing Bellingham to pounce on the rebound and score the winner.
The victory sends England into the World Cup semi-finals for the fourth time in their history and their second in the last three editions of the tournament. They will now face either Argentina or Switzerland for a place in the final.
Norway, playing in their first World Cup in 28 years, bowed out with an impressive display despite the defeat. England also succeeded in keeping star striker Erling Haaland scoreless, ending his run of 15 consecutive international matches with a goal.
The Norwegians created several chances before England’s equaliser, with Alexander Sorloth and Martin Odegaard both going close. Sorloth also missed a golden opportunity late in the first half after choosing not to pass to an unmarked Haaland during a promising counterattack.
