Everton have parted ways with manager Sean Dyche following a dismal run of just one win in their last 11 games, leaving the club precariously positioned just one point above the Premier League relegation zone

Leighton Baines and Seamus Coleman are set to lead the team in Thursday evening’s FA Cup third-round clash against Peterborough.
The Toffees currently sit 16th in the Premier League, having failed to register a shot on target during Saturday’s 1-0 loss to Bournemouth. This marked their eighth league defeat of the season and the eighth time in 10 games they have failed to score.
Dyche was appointed in January 2023 and successfully guided Everton to Premier League safety with a final-day win over Bournemouth. He managed to secure survival again last season despite the team being docked eight points for breaching the Premier League’s Profitability and Sustainability Rules.
Everton’s new ownership reportedly assessed Dyche’s position following the loss to Bournemouth, with speculation of talks involving potential replacements such as Graham Potter. While Dyche’s contract ran until the summer, the poor form, including just one win in 11 games and a lack of goals, forced the owners to act.
Everton’s managerial search now begins again, as concerns about the team’s attacking output and style of play persist. The Toffees have struggled offensively, with striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin netting just two goals this season. Fans, frustrated by the lack of urgency in decision-making, had hoped for quicker action after the Bournemouth defeat.
Evertonians will now look to the club’s leadership to bring stability and ensure survival in the Premier League amidst ongoing challenges.
