In a groundbreaking achievement, Funke Akindele’s latest film, “Everybody Loves Jenifa,” has broken another record to become the highest-grossing Nollywood movie of all time

The film’s distributor, FilmOne, took to social media to announce the milestone, revealing that “Everybody Loves Jenifa” has raked in an impressive ₦1.466 billion at the box office and counting.
This remarkable feat is a testament to Akindele’s enduring popularity and her ability to produce content that resonates with audiences.
The film’s success is all the more impressive, given that it faced stiff competition from other notable releases, including Toyin Abraham’s “Alakada: Bad and Boujee.”
Akindele’s “Everybody Loves Jenifa” achieved the unprecedented feat of crossing the ₦1 billion mark in under two weeks, solidifying her position as a trailblazer in the Nigerian film industry.
This achievement is not isolated, as Akindele’s previous film, “A Tribe Called Judah,” also made history by becoming the first Nollywood movie to surpass the ₦1 billion milestone.
With “Everybody Loves Jenifa,” Akindele has once again demonstrated her dominance at the Nigerian box office, cementing her status as the queen of the big screen.
