Hajiya Hadiza Attahiru Jega, wife of former Independent National Electoral Commission chairman, Attahiru Jega, has passed away
Her family confirmed the sad news on Sunday, April 5, 2026, announcing that her Janaiza prayer is scheduled to hold after the Zuhr prayer at 1:30 p.m. at the National Mosque Abuja.
Prof. Jega currently serves as Co-Chairman of the Presidential Livestock Reforms Implementation Committee, Special Adviser to the President on Livestock Development, and Pro-Chancellor of both Nasarawa State University and Usman Danfodio University.
Late Hajiya Hadiza Jega was respected for her dedication to education and community development, especially in northern Nigeria, where she made notable contributions.
The family offered prayers for her soul, asking Allah to grant her Aljannah Firdausi, while urging friends, associates, and well-wishers to keep them in their prayers during this difficult time.
