Former Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Eyitayo Jegede, on Monday has emerged the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party for the Ondo State governorship election.
Mr. Jegede, a Senior Advocates of Nigeria, scored 760 votes to beat Saka Lawal, his only rival, who scored only 22 votes.
Mr. Jegede, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, had on July 23 resigned his appointment in preparation to contest the governorship election coming up in November, 2016.
