Faleke Blasts INEC, As Kogi Refuse To Jubilate Over Bello’s Victory

The AUDU/FALEKE Campaign Organization has said it was
vindicated by urging INEC not to conduct the supplementary election.
The deputy governorship candidate, James Faleke, in a press
statement by his media director, Duro Meseko, and made available to
journalists, expressed disappointment over handling of the governorship
    election in Kogi State.
He noted that the final result declared by INEC has
vindicated its early claims that the election of November 21, 2015 was won by
the AUDU/FALEKE Ticket and should have been declared as such.

Mr. Faleke described the supplementary election as a
complete waste of tax payers money.
He stressed that (by) the Supplementary election final
results declared by INEC, the All Progressive Congress (APC) polled 6885 votes
while the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) scored 5363 votes, making a total of
12, 248 votes, a far cry from the 49, 353 registered voters that INEC claimed
to have based its decision to declare the election inconclusive.
“It is now crystal clear to everybody that the Kogi
Governorship election of November 21 was already won and lost before the
strange supplementary election introduced by the INEC.
We therefore urge our supporters to remain calm and
steadfast while the law takes its rightful course.
Meanwhile, the declared winner of the supplementary
election, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, was not on ground to speak, but he was said to
have urged other aggrieved to team with him in providing the much needed
    development the state desires.
Meanwhile, there where wild jubilation at Okene, the country
home of Mr. Bello, by his kinsmen.
Aside Okene and other local government area in the central
senatorial district where Mr. Bello comes from, there were no signs of
celebration in other part of the state, including Lokoja, the state capital.
