Rapper, Falz, has dismissed claims suggesting he had a romantic relationship with controversial crossdresser Bobrisky
This clarification comes as Falz remains locked in a legal dispute with social media critic VeryDarkMan (VDM), who had previously released an alleged phone conversation between Falz and Bobrisky while the latter was in detention.
In reaction to the leak, Falz initiated a defamation lawsuit against VDM, a move that fueled widespread speculation about the nature of his interaction with Bobrisky.
Speaking during a recent interview on Arise TV, Falz confirmed that the case is still ongoing. He revealed that VDM has yet to formally present a defense in court and that a prior attempt to dismiss the suit based on jurisdiction was overruled.
“There’s a substantive suit for defamation filed by myself and my father. They filed a preliminary objection arguing the court lacked jurisdiction, but that was dismissed. Now they either have to file a defense or the court will proceed with a ruling,” he explained.
Addressing his interaction with Bobrisky, Falz stressed that there was never any personal relationship between them, describing their contact as a one-off communication initiated by Bobrisky through Instagram.
“He reached out saying he was in trouble and wanted to talk about how I could assist. Just like many others who contact me for help, I responded out of compassion. This case wasn’t unique in any way,” he said.
Falz noted that the experience has made him more cautious going forward. “I acted out of empathy, but it backfired. Maybe I’ll still help people, but with a lot more awareness,” he added.
