
The state Governor and his commissioner during their visit to Apapa/Wharf
Lagos State Governor, Raji Fashola and Lagos Commissioner
for Transportation, Hon. Kayode Opeifa has vowed to end Apapa gridlock which
has been on for a while now. While speaking yesterday, Sunday, 20th
of July, 2014 in Apapa, which makes it his 3rd visit to the area in
2weeks, the Governor said while the state was committed to solving the Apapa
gridlock, but the Federal Government must take responsibility for its
facilities within Apapa; the ports and major roads which at the moment were
grossly mismanaged resulting to untold hardship and pain for residents, businesses
and motorists in that part of the state.
He later reassured residents that there would soon be a
lasting solution.
