Fido, a rising Nigerian artist, recently found himself at the center of a music industry storm
His song “Joy is Coming” unexpectedly displaced Davido’s “Funds” from the top spot on Apple Music’s charts.
This unexpected turn of events sparked a heated online debate, with Davido’s fans, often referred to as “Davido FC,” taking to social media to express their discontent.
In response to the backlash, Fido took to Instagram Live to address the situation. He calmly dismissed the criticism, referring to Davido’s fans as “Osakpolor FC.”
Fido emphasized that he was not interested in competition and that any negativity stemmed from the fans themselves.
This playful jab was a reference to a nickname coined by Wizkid on Davido.
