FBI Searches Joe Biden’s Beach Home
FBI agents have searched US President, Joe Biden’s home outside Rehoboth Beach in Delaware amid an investigation into classified documents found at his other house and former office.
‘Today, with the President’s full support and cooperation, the DOJ is conducting a planned search of his home in Rehoboth, Delaware,’ stated Biden’s personal lawyer Bob Bauer.
‘Under DOJ’s standard procedures, in the interests of operational security and integrity, it sought to do this work without advance public notice, and we agreed to cooperate.’
Bauer added that the search on Wednesday morning ‘is a further step in a thorough and timely DOJ process we will continue to fully support and facilitate’ and promised more information at the end of the search.
The search comes weeks after classified documents were reported found in Biden’s Wilmington home and at his former office at a Washington, DC, think tank.
No classified documents were found at Biden’s Rehoboth Beach house, according to the White House.
Earlier this month, Bauer said Biden’s personal lawyers searched the president’s Wilmington and Rehoboth Beach residences for classified documents.
‘The president’s personal attorneys located a potential record bearing classified markings at the Wilmington residence, among stored materials inside a room adjacent to the garage,’ Bauer stated at the time.
‘Following the search at the Wilmington residence, the attorneys proceeded to the Rehoboth residence and conducted a search there. No potential records were identified at the Rehoboth Beach residence, and the attorneys returned to Washington, DC, late in the evening.’
The FBI searched former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home in August 2022 and took boxes of classified documents.
