The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has named Mrs. Nancy Sabanti Nathan as Acting Head of Service following the d3ath of Mrs. Grace Adayilo last week
The appointment was confirmed in a statement issued on Tuesday morning by Lere Olayinka, Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications and Social Media.
Adayilo, who passed away on Monday last week, made history in October 2024 when President Bola Tinubu approved her appointment as the first female and first indigenous Head of Service of the FCT Administration.
According to the statement, Nathan will serve in an acting capacity “pending the appointment of a substantive Head of Service.” If later confirmed, she will become the second female HoS since the FCT Civil Service Commission was established in October 2023.
Before her new role, Nathan was Permanent Secretary of the FCTA Youth Development Secretariat. She had also served as Director of Finance and Administration in the Office of the Honourable Minister of the FCT.
The statement added that her appointment takes immediate effect.
