Federal Government charges lawyer in suit against Sen. Ifeanyi Ubah with forgery

The Federal Government has filed charges against a lawyer, Eziafa Samuel Enwedo involved in the case in which judgment was obtained purporting to sack Senator Ifeanyi Ubah.

Enwedo and some others recently claimed to have obtained a judgment from the High Court of the Federal  Capital Territory (FCT), purporting to sack Ubah, who represents Anambra South in the Senate, for allegedly giving false information to INEC about his academic qualifications.

The appeal Ubah filed against the judgment was heard on Thursday by the Court of Appeal in Abuja.

But, in a six-charge filed on March 12 this year, Enwedo was accused of working with others, including Ubah’s main opposition politician, Obinna Uzor and three others  to forge documents relating to the suit.

Also named in the charge filed before the Federal High Court in Abuja, marked: FHC/ABJ/CR/78/2020, are the claimant in the said suit, Anani Anacletus Chuka; Aroh Ifunanya and Faith Samuel.

They will be arraigned next week.
