Femi Adebayo has dedicated his AMVCA wins to his father, Adebayo Salami, popularly known as Oga Bello, in a video that moved many fans online
The emotional moment happened on Sunday, a day after Adebayo’s historical drama series “Seven Doors” swept three major categories at the 11th Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards held in Lagos on Saturday, May 10.
In the video shared on Instagram, the Jagun Jagun star was seen kneeling before his father while presenting the AMVCA trophies. Oga Bello, visibly proud, offered prayers over his son as family members surrounded them.
“There are moments awards can’t measure—like this one. Humbled beyond words as my father, Alhaji Adebayo Salami and my dear mothers poured prayers over me today… This win is ours, ” he wrong as caption for the video.
“Seven Doors” won Best Lead Actor (Femi Adebayo), Best Lead Actress (Chioma Chukwuka), and Best Score/Music (Tolu Obanro), making it one of the most celebrated projects of the night.
