The federal government has approved ₦712 billion for the complete renovation of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos
Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, made the announcement following the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting chaired by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the State House in Abuja.
Keyamo explained that the existing terminal will be completely stripped down to its structural frame and rebuilt with state-of-the-art mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
He added that the reconstruction project is expected to last 22 months.
