The Federal Government has declared Friday, April 18, and Monday, April 21, 2025, as public holidays to mark Good Friday and Easter Monday
The announcement was made on Tuesday by the Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, in a statement issued through the ministry’s Permanent Secretary, Dr. Magdalene Ajani.
While extending Easter greetings to Christians across the country, Dr. Tunji-Ojo emphasized the importance of reflecting on the values of sacrifice, love, and redemption demonstrated by Jesus Christ.
He also urged Nigerians to use the holiday period to pray for peace, unity, and stability in the country, stressing the need for national harmony during this reflective season
