The gathering, held at the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, aims to address growing concerns over the hike.

Key government officials in attendance include Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, National Security Adviser; Nkeiruka Onyejeocha, Labour Minister; Wale Edun, Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy; Alhaji Mohammed Idris, Information Minister; Heineken Lokpobiri, Minister of State for Petroleum; Ekperikpe Ekpo, Minister of State for Petroleum Resources; and representatives from the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation Limited.

The Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) has strongly condemned the fuel price hike, calling for an immediate reversal.

In a statement signed by its President, Joe Ajaero, the NLC criticized the government for prioritizing price increases over citizens’ welfare.

The NLC demands that the government immediately reverse the fuel price hike and provide clarity on its economic vision for the country.

The meeting seeks to resolve these issues and find a solution to the fuel price crisis.
