The Federal Government has announced plans to commission 30,000 Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) powered vehicles within the next 90 days, signaling an end to the era of buying fuel at high prices (N750-N1000 per liter)

Michael Oluwagbemi, CEO of the Presidential Compressed Natural Gas Initiative, revealed that the N36 billion project includes 30,000 free CNG conversion kits, valued at N1.2 million per vehicle, to be distributed nationwide.

According to Tribune Online, the goal is to eventually reach one million kits, enabling citizens to benefit from cheaper fuel prices (N230/kg).

This initiative aims to promote the use of natural gas as a cleaner and more affordable alternative to traditional fuel sources.
