According to sources, the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) plans to renegotiate Finidi George’s contract, downgrading his role and salary after hiring a foreign coach for the Super Eagles
An official revealed that Finidi’s current monthly salary of approximately 15 million Naira, signed in a one-year contract with a performance-based option for an additional year, will be revisited.
The NFF, facing financial constraints, cannot afford to pay Finidi’s existing salary while also covering the foreign coach’s salary in foreign currency.
Finidi’s contract will be revised, and he faces a “take-it-or-leave-it” situation.
