A fire broke out at the popular Bayan Tasha market in Damaturu, causing the destruction of shops and goods worth millions of Naira
The cause of the late-night blaze is still under investigation.
Reports indicate that the fire was brought under control through the combined efforts of firefighters and good Samaritans.
At the time of this report, no casualties were reported, though significant property damage occurred, with goods and other belongings destroyed.
Mustapha Mohammed Gujba, a resident of Damaturu, shared the news on his Facebook page, expressing sympathy for those affected:
“Today, we have received news of a fire outbreak at the market behind the motor park in Damaturu town. To those affected, we pray that Allah grants you comfort and replaces what you have lost with something better.”
