A Nigerian company, Skyewise Group, has clarified that the property recently demolished along the Lekki Expressway in Lagos belongs entirely to the firm and not to popular auto influencer, Ola of Lagos
The statement comes after social media reports claimed the car lot, demolished last Saturday, was owned by the influencer.

The demolition has stirred outrage online as videos showed heavy-duty machinery tearing down luxury car display lots along the busy Lekki-Epe corridor, a hotspot for high-end automobile dealerships.
Skyewise Group CEO, Elvis Abuyere in a statement described the demolition as “unfortunate and saddening,” noting that it was part of the Lagos State Government’s ongoing efforts to create access routes for a new waterway development project.
“This unfortunate incident affected several car lots along the Lekki Expressway, starting from Phase 1, where the Skyewise Group office was located,” Abuyere said.
He stressed that the demolished property was fully owned by Skyewise Group, with only a section leased to Ola of Lagos for car hire operations and the display of luxury vehicles used in content creation.
“All necessary building approvals, operational permits, dealership licenses, and environmental levies for the property were duly obtained from the Lagos State Government,” Abuyere added, noting that copies of the documents would be released soon.
