Nigeria has failed to qualify for the final of this year’s U-17 Women’s World Cup in India.

The Flamingos lost 6-5 to Colombia in their semi-final clash on Wednesday.

The game had ended 0-0 after regulation time, as both teams failed to score any goals.

Flamingos head coach, Bankole Olowookere replaced Fatimo Adeshina with Opeyemi Ajakaye after the break.

The Nigerian girls came under repeated pressure in the second half but Omilana was at her best thwarting the Colombians.

Omilana was replaced by second-choice goalkeeper Linda Jiwuaku at 90 minutes.

The game went straight into penalties after both teams failed to score in regulation time.
