A former Deputy Speaker of the Anambra State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon Harford Oseke, has di.ed while exercising
Oseke reportedly collapsed and d!ed yesterday at the Alex Ekwueme Square in Awka, the state capital.
After he collapsed, he was pronounced de.ad, and his body was taken to Apex Medical Centre in Awka.
Born in August 1960, Oseke hailed from Umuawulu in Awka South Local Government Area of Anambra State. He studied law and had recently completed a Ph.D. in Public Administration.
Beyond his academic achievements, Oseke was active in the freight forwarding business in Port Harcourt and was involved in the importation of fishing feeds.
Oseke’s political career saw him joining the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), where he contested for a seat in the House of Assembly during Peter Obi’s administration. He later became the Majority Leader and served as the Deputy Speaker.
A knight of St. Christopher, Harford Oseke is survived by his wife and children.
