A former Miss Nigeria, Rita Anuku has died after battling
cancer for two years. Her family announced that the 1986 winner of the beauty
pageant passed on after a short battle with cancer. Rita was crowned a beauty
queen at the age of 18 shortly after leaving secondary school. She is survived by four children. May her soul
rest in peace.
