A former philanthropist has cried out for help after losing his businesses and home following years of financial struggles.
He said he used to run businesses in Dubai and travelled regularly between Nigeria and the UAE, often flying business class. But about three years ago, he said he was unable to return to the country, leaving him cut off from his businesses and without an income.
In an emotional appeal post, he said:
“I used to do very well for myself. I owned businesses in Dubai and flew business class in and out of the country until they said they don’t want Nigerians in their country about three years ago.
“I couldn’t enter the country, there was no income, and my business was shut down.
“Despite that, I still come online to help people. Now my landlord has thrown me out of my house because I couldn’t pay rent.”
He is now putting his car up for sale as he tries to get through his current financial difficulties.
