The football world is mourning the loss of former FC Porto captain Jorge Costa, who has d!ed at the age of 53

Reports say Costa suffered a cardiac arrest at the club’s training ground and was rushed to São João Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
Before his passing, Costa held the role of Director of Football at FC Porto. He enjoyed a decorated playing career, winning eight Portuguese league titles and lifting the UEFA Champions League trophy in 2004 under manager José Mourinho.
Tributes have since poured in from across the global football community, including UEFA President Aleksander Čeferin, who expressed deep condolences over Costa’s sudden death.
