The race for football’s most prestigious individual award, the Ballon d’Or, is heating up as the 30-man shortlist for the 2025 edition has been officially revealed

Following Rodri’s historic win last year — the first ever by a Manchester City player — top stars from across Europe and beyond have been nominated, including standout performers from PSG, Real Madrid, Barcelona, and Liverpool.

PSG duo Ousmane Dembele and Desire Doue headline the list after leading the French giants to domestic and European success. Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah also makes a strong case, having delivered a record-breaking season with 29 goals and 18 assists in the Premier League.

Napoli’s Scott McTominay and Barcelona’s teenage sensation Lamine Yamal have also been recognised for their stellar campaigns.
