Funnybone blasts “clout-chasing pastors” for public bible drama

0

Comedian Funnybone has slammed the growing trend of pastors airing their grievances on social media, describing it as “tasteless and deeply embarrassing.”

Addressing the new generation of preachers, Funnybone said:

“Dear new generation preachers, this recent trend of dragging one another on social media is tasteless and deeply embarrassing to the Body of Christ. Everyone is wielding the Bible to justify personal excesses and unnecessary drama.

It is both shameful and exhausting to watch.”

He didn’t hold back on criticizing the modern approach to conflict resolution in the clergy.

“If your founding fathers had been this dramatic, you probably wouldn’t have had a congregation to pastor today. What happened to picking up the phone, calling that pastor privately, and resolving issues as spiritual men? Must everything become a public spectacle? Can this just stop?”

Funnybone concluded with a pointed remark about collective shame:

“If you are not embarrassed, please know that we are embarrassed on your behalf. Pastors behaving like content creators online… sigh.”

The comedian’s words highlight a growing frustration with religious leaders who seem more focused on viral content than spiritual leadership.
