Ghanaian Chef Smith has tearfully apologized for faking his Guinness World Record certificate
He had earlier claimed to hold the record, but an investigation revealed that the certificate was false.
The actual record holder is Alan Fisher from Ireland.
In a televised interview with a Ghanaian media house, Chef Smith expressed regret for his actions, stating his desire to be recognized.
He apologized for any shame his actions may have brought to his nation, Ghana.
His female assistant, Leticia Martekie Sankah, also begged for her involvement in the incident.
