A fierce battle is going on between police and angry crowds protesting against the demolition of homes in Ghana’s oldest slum in the capital, Accra.
Police are firing shots and tear gas to disperse the protesters but they seem to be overpowered by the hundreds of citizens.
Protesters are throwing stones and have damaged several police vehicles, BBC reports. People have been running away and the area currently looks like a war zone, the international news platform said.
