Billboard acknowledged GloRilla’s challenges in 2023, where tracks like “Cha Cha” (featuring Fivio Foreign) struggled to match the success of breakout hits like “F.N.F. (Let’s Go)” and “Tomorrow 2.” However, 2024 saw her reclaim her spotlight with the hit single “Yeah Glo!”
Journalist Carl Lamarre noted the “swaggering track” climbed into the Hot 100’s top 30, marking her return as a resilient artist. Her momentum continued with major records like the Hot 100 top 15 single “Wanna Be” featuring Megan Thee Stallion and the summer smash “TGIF.”
Her impact extended beyond music. Pop icons Rihanna and Taylor Swift praised her as rap’s newest “IT girl,” and Vice President Kamala Harris even reached out during her campaign to engage youth voters.
