In a fresh interview on Hip TV’s Trending, hosted by Pascal, Spyro claimed that gospel artistes are “in the business to make money” just like Afrobeats artists.

He also praised Tems as a role model for young female artists, highlighting her success while maintaining decency in an industry where women often face pressure to compromise their values.

Spyro expressed admiration for Tems’ ability to navigate the industry with integrity, saying she should be an inspiration to young women everywhere.

He said:

“The people that claim to be gospel artists or gospel ministers are just artists -they are in the business to make money just like us in the Afrobeats industry.”

“There is a lot of pressure on female artists to do crazy things. Tems is holding it down decently yet she is one of the biggest [female artists] in the world right now. She is decent. She has it together.
