Gospel singer Timilehin Ajayi, who is standing trial for the alleged murder and dismemberment of his 24-year-old girlfriend, Salome Adaidu, has been seen praying during a recent court appearance
A video shared by AIT on Tuesday showed Ajayi with his eyes closed in prayer while in the courtroom, where proceedings continued in the case surrounding the tragic death of the NYSC member.
Ajayi was arrested in January by members of a church in Orozo, a community near the Federal Capital Territory and Nasarawa State, after he was allegedly caught with a polybag containing Adaidu’s severed head. Authorities later discovered the rest of her dismembered body in his apartment.
The victim was reportedly killed during a visit to Ajayi’s home in Papalana, New Karshi, Karu Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.
Following his arrest, Ajayi confessed to the crime, claiming jealousy as the motive and stating that he felt no remorse for his actions.
