Kano State Governor Abba Yusuf has sacked Shehu Sagagi from his position as Commissioner for Investment, Commerce, and Industry, effective immediately.
The announcement was made in a statement on Thursday by the governor’s spokesperson, Sunusi Dawakin-Tofa, who said Sagagi has been instructed to hand over the ministry’s affairs to the Director of Commerce pending further instructions.

Governor Yusuf expressed gratitude for Sagagi’s service during his tenure, noting his contributions to the state’s development, particularly in politics, religion, and the growth of small and medium-sized enterprises.
He wished the former commissioner success in his future endeavors and reassured residents that his administration remains committed to efficient service delivery and the ongoing strategic restructuring of government institutions to promote sustainable development in Kano State.
