Uganda’s Chief of Defense Forces, Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba, voiced his support for Israel amid the ongoing conflict with Iran in a series of posts on X/Twitter Thursday
“We want the war in the Middle East to end now. The world is tired of it,” he wrote, warning that any threats to destroy or defeat Israel would draw Uganda into the conflict. “On the side of Israel!” he added.

In a later deleted post, Kainerugaba claimed that the Uganda People’s Defense Force (UPDF) would join the war “on the side of Israel” if the fighting continues.
“Israel has a right to exist and attacks against her must stop,” he stated.
He also said he had offered support from the Ugandan defense forces to both the U.S. and Israel. “We could have captured Tehran in 72 hours without any bombing,” he claimed, adding, “but of course they never listen to a black man. Why bomb people who support you?”
