Addressing the recipients, Governor Otti said the cars were meant to ease their mobility and support effective service delivery.

“Gone are the days of coming to work with keke. Your documents are ready, so are the details in terms of amortization. You don’t have to pay anything. Here are your cars,” Otti announced.

He explained that the gesture reflects his administration’s commitment to providing the necessary tools for a functional and motivated civil service. Otti also emphasized that the appointments of the Permanent Secretaries were made strictly on merit, transparency, and competence.

“All of you attained this position on your own merit. Even those I knew before the process didn’t make it because it was transparently conducted,” he stated.

The Governor commended the Permanent Secretaries for their cooperation and described them as vital to the success of his administration’s programmes and policies.

According to his Chief Press Secretary, Ukoha Njoku Ukoha, Governor Otti expressed confidence that the new vehicles would inspire better performance and greater dedication to duty. He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to transforming the civil service through technology and digital tools.

“As we begin this next phase of transformation, I’m relying on you to drive the digitalization process. I’ve approved the procurement of internet-ready devices for everyone, and we’re working to make the entire state internet connected,” Otti added.
