Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun has presented a ceremonial sword, known as the “Sword of Jagaban” — a traditional emblem for leaders of warriors and conquerors — to President Bola Tinubu
The presentation followed President Tinubu’s visit to Ogun State for the inauguration of the Gateway International Airport.
Governor Abiodun explained that the sword, associated with the title ‘Jagaban,’ symbolizes leadership, strength, authority, and courage.
He emphasized that the gesture went beyond ceremony, serving as a strong endorsement of President Tinubu’s leadership.
He encouraged the president to persist in addressing crime, corruption, and other national challenges, while assuring him of Ogun State’s unwavering support, including backing for his re-election.
Abiodun reiterated the state’s loyalty and pledged continued cooperation with the federal administration.
