Uwah said, “The governor wishes members of the dissolved boards and commissions well in their future endeavours. He commends them for the roles they have played towards achieving the promises contained in the ARISE agenda.”

Chairpersons of the affected agencies have been instructed to hand over all government property in their custody to the most senior officer in their respective establishments.

Governor Eno had earlier hinted at the move during a media briefing marking the 37th anniversary of the state’s creation in 2024, stating that the dissolution of the executive council, including statutory and non-statutory boards, was forthcoming.

He assured that the decision would not come as a surprise to commissioners who had committed their time and energy to the state’s development and mentioned plans to hold a valedictory session to honor their contributions.
