Groom Dies JUST A DAY After His Wedding In Sokoto
A groom has died JUST A DAY after his wedding in Sokoto State.
The groom identified as Shehu Lili Kofar Atiku is said to have gotten married just a day before.
According to a family friend, Shamsude oken Buratai, who joined others to mourn him on social media, Shehu had a yearly sickness, which re-occurred this time and took his life.
According to Buratai, it was a beautiful morning when they all exchanged pleasantries before Shehu complained of pains and said he suspected his sickness has re-occurred and that was it.
Shehu died in their presence.
Mourning him, Buratai wrote;
“Shehu is my childhood friend and a family friend for over 3 decades. He had acute malaria which would strike him every harmattan. So like any other year, the illness struck this year, around September, to which he took medications and regained his health.”
“Just this morning, around 9 am, Shehu came out and met us where we exchanged normal pleasantries. All of a sudden he began to feel something strange and said to us that he suspected it was his malaria that wanted to come back. Next thing he slumped and that was it.”
