Multiple attempts to access the website ((link unavailable)) were met with error messages as of 10:30 pm on Wednesday.
According to Daily Trust, although the domain name had been recently renewed for a five-year period, cybersecurity experts suggest that the bank’s login credentials may have been compromised, rather than the domain itself being stolen for resale.
As of the time of reporting, GTBank had not issued an official statement addressing the incident. Customers took to social media to express their concerns and frustrations with the outage.”
