Nollywood actress Habibat Jinad has opened up about her past experience and rift with fellow actor Lateef Adedimeji, revealing he blocked her for four years
In an Instagram post, Jinad shared that she had invited Lateef to star in one of her films, but he declined, stating he only acts in movies with “fortunate people”.
She was hurt but chose to move on. Jinad tried reaching out again, only to discover she’d been blocked, with Lateef unblocking her in January 2025.
Jinad says she’s sharing this to show how fame can change people in the industry, not to create drama.
Jinad said: “There was a time I wanted to shoot a movie and asked Lateef Adedimeji to be part of it. He told me straight that he only wants to act in movies with fortunate people. I was hurt at first, but I chose to move forward.”
