Hamilton star Miguel Cervantes loses 3-year old daughter… pays powerful tribute to her

Hamilton star Miguel Cervantes says that his three-year-old daughter Adelaide died Saturday, days after she was placed in hospice care.

The 42-year-old performer said in a joint statement with his wife Kelly, 37: ‘The Cervantes family is heartbroken to announce that their baby girl Adelaide Grace – who battled epilepsy and Infantile Spasms – tragically died early Saturday.

Adelaide ‘was held in the loving arms of her family as she peacefully achieves the “calm” for which they’ve been searching for so long,’ the family said, adding that ‘they would like to extend their deepest, heartfelt gratitude to all who have reached out with words of support and prayer and will continue to feel all the love as they go through this difficult time.’

Kelly shared an image of the late child’s room with a powerful message in memory of her daughter:

‘The machines are off. Her bed is empty. The quiet is deafening. Miss Adelaide Grace left us early Saturday morning.

Kelly, who’s involved with the Citizens United for Research in Epilepsy, said that her daughter ‘went peacefully in [her] arms and surrounded by love,’ adding, ‘Finally, she is free from pain, reactions and seizures but leaves our hearts shattered. We love you so much Adelaide bug and forever after.’

Kelly, speaking last week with People, hailed Adelaide as ‘a warrior’ amid her brave health battle.

‘She came into the world and she had a mission and a story,’ she said. ‘I’m so proud that no one will ever forget her story.’
