“Hate cannot cancel blessings” - Mary Njoku shares cryptic message

Actress Mary Njoku has shared a direct and unfiltered message on faith, intention, and how people respond to one another under the guise of religion.

In her note, she addressed the idea of people allowing personal grievances to shape their spiritual expressions, particularly when it comes to how they pray or wish others well or ill. She pointed out that religious devotion, no matter how consistent, does not justify harboring negative intentions toward others.

She stressed that, in her view, God’s justice is not influenced by human emotions, grudges, or personal disagreements. Instead, she emphasized that what is ultimately seen and judged is the sincerity behind a person’s actions and prayers.

Mary Njoku also noted that it is misguided to assume that bitterness or resentment can alter the course of someone else’s life, especially when that person has shown kindness or goodwill. She said that such thoughts are more revealing of the inner state of the person holding them than the target of their feelings.

She rounded off her message with a direct reminder that intention matters as much as action in spiritual matters, insisting that hatred, no matter how religiously disguised, has no authority over divine will.

She wrote;

“Dear Religious Fanatics, God’s justice cannot be guided by your grudges. Just because you go to church seven days a week or read the Bible from Genesis to Revelation does not mean that hating someone and fervently praying for their downfall will cancel God’s favor upon their life. God is not unjust. He sees the heart, knows our motives, and honors genuine love and faithfulness. Nothing backfires faster than a malicious prayer against someone who has only shown you love, kindness, and support. Especially someone God may have sent as an answer to your own prayers. Bitterness may blind the heart, but it cannot blind God. Happy Sunday.”
