Lawyer Synord has criticised the decision to drag celebrity chef Hilda Baci into the ongoing controversy surrounding her ex-lover, music executive Dapper.
The lawyer reacted after Dapper was publicly called out by Nigerian artistes, including Shallipopi and Seyi Vibez, over issues relating to their dealings with the music executive.
In a post, Synord questioned why Hilda Baci was mentioned in the dispute, arguing that her personal relationship with Dapper should not be brought into the matter.
He wrote:
“How did Hilda get dragged into this. From where to where. This is not appropriate at all. She’s not even with him any longer. A very unfair tweet”.
T.I Blaze had also recently called out Dapper over his music catalogue, royalties and an alleged ₦1.2 billion discrepancy. He questioned the handling of his recordings, the involvement of Virgin Music and the terms of his reported agreement with Dapper.
Seyi Vibez later joined the conversation in a series of social media posts in which he criticized Dapper, making a reference to Hilda Baci and alleging that Dapper had spent his artists’ royalties on her BBL.
Synord, however, stated that Hilda Baci should not be pulled into the disagreement, particularly if she is no longer in a relationship with the music executive.
He described the reference to her as unfair and inappropriate, separating the chef from the issues being raised by the artistes against Dapper.
