Operatives of the Yobe State Hisbah Commission have destroyed cartons of seized alcohol in line with the commission’s mandate
This was disclosed in a statement signed by the Hisbah Spokesman, Sibawaihi Ukasha Gashua, which indicated that the exercise followed a court order granted by the Lower Shari’ah Court, authorizing the destruction of the seized alcohol intercepted on Wednesday, 8th October 2025.
“The items were confiscated from a J5 vehicle that departed from Jos, Plateau State. Both the suspects and the exhibits were taken to court, where judgment was delivered according to Shari’ah law,” he added.
