Prophet Chukwuemeka Ohanaemere, popularly known as Odumeje, has criticised the Federal Government over the attention being given to the Onitsha Head Bridge.
Odumeje questioned why the government would celebrate the bridge after carrying out maintenance work on a structure that has been in existence for decades.
While addressing his congregation, the Indaboski Bahose said the way the government has been presenting the bridge online could make people believe it is a newly constructed project, rather than an old bridge that has only been maintained.
He said:
“If I see any of you at Onitsha Head Bridge celebrating that you maintained a 1950s bridge for the South-East, Holy Ghost will kpai you there. This country has no conscience.
“If you see the way the government is showing this bridge everywhere on the internet, you will think it is a newly constructed bridge, without knowing that it is a bridge built years ago.
” Imagine someone celebrating his car that he parked for over 50 years after repainting it”.
