Dr Abbas Tajuddeen, Speaker of the House of Representatives, has lost his elder brother, Alhaji Aminu Pate, the Zazzau Emirate Council announced on Thursday
According to a statement by Malam Abdullahi Kwarbai, Media and Publicity Officer of the council, Pate passed away late Wednesday after a protracted illness at Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital (ABUTH), Zaria.
The late Alhaji Aminu Pate is survived by his wife, children, and grandchildren. He held the traditional title of Wamban Dawakin Zazzau and was a retired civil servant, having risen to the position of Director, Personnel Management, while serving in various local government councils across Kaduna State.
Funeral prayers for his repose will be held at the Emir of Zazzau’s Palace at 2:30 pm on Thursday.
