Actress and presenter Ezinne Jane has praised Abia State Governor Alex Otti, saying his administration has made a difference in her mother’s life as a teacher.
Jane spoke about the changes her mother has experienced under Otti’s government, particularly the regular payment of salaries and the opportunity for teachers to enjoy greater financial stability.
Addressing the governor, she said:
“This video is for governor Alex Otti. How dare you? how dare you dare to be different? how dare you pay salaries consistently? how dare you turn my mother, who is a poor teacher, now a principal in my village, and make her a woman who can now boast of having savings after paying her bills?”.
Her comments came after Otti announced a N1 billion Teachers’ Appreciation Fund at the 2026 World Teachers’ Day celebration in Umuahia on October 5.
The governor said the money would be distributed equally among teachers across Abia State. He also ordered the payment of outstanding salaries and other entitlements owed to them.
